This little fragment of porcelain is from a collection of work I made a number of years ago.
I am now reconnecting to ceramics and returning to the theme of the goddess in nature, but maybe in a more abstract way.
My paintings are becoming for subtly coloured , but still with vibrant elements.

fairies are FAB

I went to see a production called Fairies tonight at the Opera House London. It transported me to wonderful lands of beauty and make believe. The child in me was so happy !The dancers and puppeteers came out front at the end to show us their fabulous puppets..as seen above.
Treat yourself and go and see it!

Local Art

One of the great things about living in Whitstable is that you can be part of the open studios!
I have just finished 3 weeks of open weekends, showing my paintings and selling prints , and cards. This Boat painting was really popular , and many folk wanted to buy it but on this occasion I decided to keep it , as I find it a departure from some of my other ones.

Sometimes its good to keep a key piece of art for what it tells you about your work and its progress.

As I was in town today , I saw this beautiful bird on a wall paper, and I was inspired to go home and think about new ways to decorate my Xmas tree , which is a series of painted twigs !

The Healing Sea

I went to see a dear friend in Northern Ireland this summer, and I was amazed at the beauty of the country, especially the coast line. The sea and the sunlight had a healing quality on my busy mind, and I promised myself that when ever I felt stressed or at odds with the world I would head down to the coast and drink in the atmosphere.

Just two wonderful gardens at the RHS flower show today . I was wowed by the sheer painterly beauty of these garden artists.

Yoga in a beautiful setting

I have practised Yoga for over 25 years , and have just come to learn of this lovely setting in southern India where I could go for a yoga holiday .
